# Canvas Editor Privacy Policy

Canvas Editor is a browser sidebar image editor. It is provided by Canvas Editor.

## What the extension stores locally

Images, layers, selections, undo history and drafts are processed and stored in the browser on the device. The extension does not upload an image merely because it was opened or edited. Clearing extension storage or uninstalling the extension can remove local drafts.

## Optional account data

If you choose to sign in, Canvas Editor receives the account identifier and email/profile information provided by the identity provider. This data is used to sign you in, show your profile, and associate purchase status with your account. Sign-in is optional for local editing.

## Optional network operations

The extension may contact Canvas Editor services for optional sign-in, profile and purchase-status requests. When you explicitly import an image from a webpage URL, the extension retrieves that selected image to place it in the editor. Canvas Editor does not sell this information and does not use it for advertising.

## Screen capture

Browser-region capture is started only after you choose the capture action. The optional macOS full-screen companion is installed and connected only after your explicit action. It returns the selected local screen pixels to the extension for editing; it is not used for account data.

## Sharing and retention

Local image pixels remain in browser storage unless you explicitly export/download them or use an explicitly described remote feature. Account and purchase records are retained as needed to provide sign-in, restore purchases, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. The operator does not sell personal information.

## Chrome Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
