A few things to know.
Can I use Canvas Editor for free?
Yes. All editing tools, layers, and exports up to 1280 pixels on the longest edge are free, without watermarks. Lifetime will unlock original-resolution exports with a single $19.90 payment.
Do I have to install the extension?
You can use the browser editor now. The Chrome extension adds a side panel, webpage image imports, and region screenshots. Its Chrome Web Store listing is coming soon.
Are my images uploaded?
Image editing happens locally on your device, and drafts are saved in this browser. Images are not uploaded for editing. Clearing browser data can remove local drafts, so export files you want to keep. Account and purchase services use a network connection when you sign in.
Can it remove an image background?
The solid-background tool removes connected, plain-colored backgrounds, such as white product backdrops. It works locally without AI. It is not intended for complex scenes or detailed hair cutouts.
Can I export a transparent PNG or a PSD?
Yes. PNG preserves transparency, and PSD export keeps your document's layers. JPG and WebP are available too. The Free plan supports exports up to 1280 pixels on the longest edge.
Is Lifetime a one-time purchase?
Yes. Pay $19.90 once to permanently unlock original-resolution exports in Canvas Editor, including future editor updates. Your purchase will be linked to your account, so you can restore access after reinstalling or changing devices. AI services are sold separately. Purchasing is coming soon.
